About the event
The 2018 Choosing Wisely Australia National Meeting was held on Wednesday 30 May at the National Convention Centre Canberra. The event brought together more than 200 members, key stakeholders and influencers of the Choosing Wisely initiative, now in its third year. It is an opportunity for health professionals, consumers, researchers, funders and policy makers to come together to discuss, engage and network on topics related to reducing unnecessary care.
At the 2018 National Meeting, participants:
- Engaged with the Choosing Wisely Australia community and foster the exchange of ideas
- Heard about practical and implementable examples of projects on Choosing Wisely and their impact to date
- Learnt about the impact of Choosing Wisely Australia
Daniel WolfsonExecutive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the ABIM Foundation
Mr Daniel Wolfson was keynote speaker for this event. Mr. Wolfson is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the ABIM Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation focused on advancing medical professionalism and physician leadership to improve the health care system. Mr. Wolfson has been instrumental in leading the Choosing Wisely campaign in the US.
